Any Year Chain and Wire
Only what is in the rules is what you can do!
Any year chain and wire no imperials or pre 70’s Lincoln’s
FRAME:
You may dimple or notch the rear frame of your car that is it don’t touch anything else! No welding on frame anywhere other than bumpers!
Body mounts must remain stock and untouched other than the core support mount may be replace with 1” all-thread and a max of a 4” free floating 2x2 spacer with 3 nuts per side!
BUMPERS
If you choose not to run factory shock You may hard nose front bumper to the front of your car not both! You may cut frame square to mount front bumper no shorting of the frame past that or you WILL NOT RUN!!!
Bumpers must be a factory OEM bumper only seam welding allowed NO LOADED BUMPERS OR SQUARE TUBING BUMPERS DON’T ASK!
If running shocks only the shock may be welded to keep from coming apart. No welding shock to frame!
BODY
All exterior parts must be removed!
No body creasing of any kind! So no rolling quarters under or beating the rear quarters in or you WILL NOT RUN!
You may fasten the front doors with 6” total weld in the vertical seam only with a max of 3/4 round rod. NO PLATE. Rear doors can be fastened in 3 spots of 1 single strand of 9 wire or 3/8 max chain
Trunk may be fastened in 6 spots of 1 single strand of 9 wire or 3/8 max chain
Hood may be fastened in 6 spots of 9 wire or max 3/8 chain. If running all thread through hood it counts as 2 spots.
A 4 point floating cage is mandatory (2) down tubes in the center of the front doors max 4” diameter. Do not beat down the floor to the frame if we can’t see a gap between the floor and the frame you will cut out the floor for us to see the frame or you could be loaded.
Side bars max of 60”
Fuel cell HOLDER is to hold fuel cell only and max of 30” wide and must be 6” away from package tray!
Halo bar may be used and recommend but cannot go to floor and may be fastened in 2 spots to roof with 2 pieces of 2x2 angle and a single 3/8 bolt.
After market steering column is permitted
Must have 2 places of wire or chain from roof to firewall for protection!
ENGINE and TRANSMISSION
No cradles of any kind!
Stock case transmission from the FACTORY with no braces of any kind!
Must run a factory rubber mount on the frame no aftermarket mounts!
03 and newer may use a floating bolt in mount to the cradle. Can not go outside or the motor mount area and only bolted to aluminum cradle!
Shocker Mopars my use a similar cradle as a 03 must be bolted to the engine crossmember only NO WELDING AND CAN NOT COME INTO CONTACT WITH EITHER FRAME RAIL
May use a piece of 3x3x6 angle welded to frame to mount crossmember. Must be a factory crossmember of some kind no square tubing!
May run aftermarket brake and gas pedal but not to reinforce car or floor pans what so ever!
After market shifter is permitted!
If running cable shifter remember only 4 point cage no center bar!
SUSPENSION :
NO HYDRO STEERING OR STEERING BOX ADAPTERS!
Must be fully working suspension NO AFTERMARKET parts of any kind!
You may change manufacturers parts if direct bolt in no welding required( ford spindles on gms is permitted)
Factory tie rods no re enforcements or welding do not touch them!
May use spring spacers to get ride hight( screw in or rubber spacers no welding AND NO FABRICATED PARTS OF ANY KIND!!!)
Max bumper height in front is 26” to the top. STRICTLY ENFORCED
Rear bumper height must be at-least 16” to the top!
You may run a single piece of 3/8 chain around rearend on each side to set ride height!
No aftermarket or loaded trailing arms!
Leaf spring cars no changing leaf springs or flipping the springs LEAVE THEM ALONE! No replacing springs for new springs must be factory to that car! No leaf spring clamps or duct tapping of springs!
Rearend must be a factory OEM 5 LUG rearend no bracing what so ever! You may weld factory ears to a stock housing for mounting purposes.
No aftermarket axles (axles will be pulled before you are paid)
Pinion brake is permitted!
Slider shafts are permitted!
If it’s not in the rules doesn’t mean you can do it! Ask before you do it!
(4) 4x4x1/4 patch plates
- 1” gap between each plate
-Plate must remain square (must have four 90° corners)
- Can’t be made into a driveline kicker
- Can’t be used as a pin
- Can’t be cut into pieces
- Can’t be attached to 03 bolt in cradle
unlimited nine wire…you can not weld washers for your 9 wire other than what’s allowed for trunks and doors.
